Participate

Members of the public can volunteer in the following ways:

  • Volunteer in Administration, Wildlife Rescue or Environment (which includes Ecosystem Support and Education). This is only for persons 18 years and older

  • Be trained as a Wildlife Courier, representing your suburb

  • Enrol as a project apprentice (for ages16-17 years)

  • Enlist as a Wildlife Warrior environmental ambassador for ages 10-15

Schools can enlist in our WESSA Eco Schools Programme

The following land owners and managers can appoint us as consultants in terms of our PriDE (Privately Developed Eco) Sanctuaries programme:

  • Eco Estates

  • Conservancies (or those estates wishing to formally register as a conservancy)

  • Complexes

  • Public Parks and Spruits

  • Farmers and Game Reserves may participate as release sites for indigenous wildlife

Collaborate

  • Watercourse and Terrestrial Habitat Restoration and Preservation

  • Managing Parks, Conservancies and Nature Reserves

  • Wildlife Conservation

  • Exotic Wildlife Welfare

  • Wildlife Interest and Education

  • Social Movements such as Scouts Troops 

  • Social Welfare (e.g. the Disadvantaged and Disabled Communities)

  • Domestic Animal Welfare

  • Universities

  • Professional Scientists e.g. Ecologists, EIA Practitioners

  • Regulatory Bodies
