Terms and Conditions for the 2021 Wild Serve NPC (Registration Number: 2016/119619/08) Fundraiser Competition

Wild Serve NPC, a Non-Profit Company (Registration Number: 2016/119619/08 and Society Lottery Scheme is registered with National Lotteries Commission (REG No. 00365/01)), is the Host and Beneficiary of the above Fundraiser Competition, with chosen domicilium citandi et executandi situated at 54 Constantia Street, Sonnedal AH, Roodepoort, Gauteng, 2040 and/or/alternatively dirk@wildserve.org. In the event of any Notices or Proceedings being forthcoming, the Host and Beneficiary consents to service at any of the above addresses.

Eligibility:

Tickets for the Wild Serve NPC 2021 Fundraiser Competition will be made available to eligible purchasers at or about 1 October 2021 08h00, and ending at 00h00 on 30 November 2021 (“the Fundraiser Competition Period”). Any entries received after the closing date, will be deemed invalid and will not be entered into the draw. Tickets will NOT be available to employees of Wild Serve NPC, Ticket Pro and the Sponsors and their immediate families, including the Board of Directors of these entities and their immediate families.

Consent:

By virtue of purchasing a ticket, all entrants consent to be bound by the rules of this Fundraiser Competition, which will be interpreted by the Host and Beneficiary, in its sole discretion and its decision in respect of any dispute, will be construed as final and all entrants consent to be bound by these decisions.

Take note that the Host and Beneficiary reserve its right to extend, modify, or reschedule the Fundraiser Competition Entry Period and/or modify or reschedule the Fundraiser Competition draw if it determines, in its sole discretion, that doing so may benefit and/or/alternatively facilitate a fair administration of the Fundraiser Competition.

Rules:

Entrants MUST be 18 years of age or older at the time of purchasing a ticket and in doing so, all entrants warrant that they have reached the status of majority.

​

Entrants are not restricted or limited in purchasing multiple tickets at a time.

​

Due to the current status of the Covid-19, Global Pandemic, entrants need not be present to win.

​

The Host and Beneficiary and/or the Sponsor hereby undertake to deliver the prize at the registered address of the entrant or alternatively arrange for same to be collected at the registered offices of the Sponsor.

​

Fundraiser Competition Tickets are not replaceable due to damage, loss, theft, or any other reason.

​

Fundraiser Competition Tickets shall be deemed void and all rights connected herewith nullified, unless purchased from Ticket Pro.

​

The winner will be randomly selected from a pool of entrants, duly chosen by Wild Serve NPC under supervision of an independent auditor and will be announced within 3 business days from the date of the draw, which will be held on 4 December 2021.

​

The winner will be announced on Wild Serve NPC’s website, https://www.wildserve.org/home as well as Ticket Pro’s website within 3 business days after the aforementioned date. Wild Serve NPC, further undertakes to contact the winner telephonically and/or via email, congratulating them on winning the Fundraiser Competition.

​

The winner will have 30 calendar days, after being notified, to accept his/her prize. In the event of failing to do so within 30 calendar days, Wild Serve NPC reserves its right to select a new winner by conducting another draw, in accordance with the terms stipulated herein.

​

Wild Serve NPC reserves its right to publish the Name, Surname and Ticket Number of the winner of this Fundraiser Competition, for purposes of administering a fair procedure, and all entrants consent, agree and understand that in entering this Fundraiser Competition, their Name and Surname will be viewable by the Public.

The prizes cannot under any circumstances be exchanged for cash.

Particulars of Entrants:

All entrants are to complete a contact form upon registration. Ticket Pro confirms that all particulars submitted to it, will be used for purposes of facilitating this Fundraiser Competition only.

Liability Clause:

Wild Serve NPC reserves its right to terminate this Fundraiser Competition at any time.

​

Wild Serve NPC does not accept liability or responsibility for entries not received because they have been lost, or not received due to interrupted internet connections or miscommunications.

​

Entries found to be submitted fraudulently will be excluded from this Fundraiser Competition and further reported to the relevant authorities.

​

Confidentiality Clause:

Wild Serve NPC undertakes to treat all information as confidential and further undertakes to ensure that the particulars of all entrants will not be made available for any other reason other than for purposes of facilitating this Fundraiser Competition.

 

Ticket Terms and Conditions:

1. Entrants MUST be at least 18 years of age and a permanent resident of South Africa, or have a South African work permit and bank account to enter the Fundraiser Competition.

2. All particulars must be furnished, upon purchasing a Fundraiser Competition ticket (i.e. full name and surname, email address, contact number and physical address).

3. Refunds remain in the absolute discretion of Wild Serve NPC together with Ticket Pro, which discretion shall be exercised reasonably in terms of the relevant legislation of the Republic of South Africa.

4. Fundraiser Competition Tickets are not replaceable due to damage, loss, theft or any other reason.

5. Winners will be drawn and notified immediately on the date stipulated by the Fundraiser Competition Host and Beneficiary.

6. The Winner will have 30 calendar days to claim his/her prize.

7. In the event the Winner cannot be contacted, the draw will take place again to a maximum of 3 draws.

8. Acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Wild Serve NPC to use the Winner’s name and photograph for publicity purposes.

9. Winners may be required to attend a prize handover.

10. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash.

11. Tickets will NOT be available to employees of Wild Serve NPC, Ticket Pro and the Sponsors and their immediate families, including the Board of Directors of these entities and their immediate families.

12. By participating in this Fundraiser Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

13. Wild Serve NPC reserves the right to change, modify, add to or remove from portions or the whole of these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes to these Terms & Conditions will become effective upon such changes being posted to the Wild Serve NPC Website. It is the ticket holder’s obligation to periodically check these Terms & Conditions for changes or updates. The ticket holder’s continued use of the Wild Serve NPC website following the posting of changes or updates will be considered notice of the ticket holder’s acceptance to abide by and be bound by these Terms & Conditions, including such changes or updates.

14. Any donation made to Wild Serve NPC does not constitute an entry into the Fundraiser Competition.

Standard Terms & Conditions for Competitions:

1. These are the standard terms and conditions for competitions offered by AfriCamps and unless stated otherwise, apply to all competitions offered on this website and through AfriCamps’ social media channels. Competition-specific rules may apply in addition to these standard terms and conditions. In the event of a conflict between these standard terms and conditions and rules applicable to any specific competition, the competition-specific rules will apply. Competition offers will set out at least the following:

   1. nature of the prize(s) on offer;

   2. the camp(s) to which the prize(s) relates;

   3. the steps required to participate in the competition;

   4. the basis on which the winner(s) is determined;

   5. the closing date;

   6. how the winner(s) will be announced;

   7. where, when, and from whom the prize(s) are to be claimed;

   8. the address of the webpage(s) competition-specific rules and standard terms and conditions can be obtained.

2. By entering any competition offered on our website or social media platforms and/or the acceptance of a prize (if you are a prize winner of any specific competition) you agree to accept the terms and conditions on behalf of yourself and any person with whom you may share the prize (e.g. any person benefiting from a free night’s stay at AfriCamps).

3. All competitions offered on our website or our social media platforms are open to South African residents and international guests unless stated otherwise. We may require additional entry criteria for any specific competition (e.g. previous AfriCamps guest) and reserve the right to refuse entry if an entrant fails to meet such criteria.

4. The following persons are not eligible to enter any specific competition offered on our website or social media platforms:

   1. directors, employees, agents, suppliers, or shareholders of AfriCamps;

   2. directors, employees, agents, suppliers, or shareholders of any organisation in connection with any specific competition; or

   3. family members or person with family relations to any of the aforesaid.

5. Any personal information collected by AfriCamps will be used to announce competitions, promotions, the opening of new camps, and for any other similar purpose. Any person is free to opt-out at any point. No personal information collected by AfriCamps will be shared with third parties.

6. The closing date for any competition will be as stated. AfriCamps reserves the right to extend the closing date in the event of unforeseen circumstances outside of its control. AfriCamps does not accept responsibility for late entries. Any entry received after the closing date will be considered late, regardless of when such entry was sent.

7. The judge’s decision will be final. AfriCamps will not enter into correspondence.

8. AfriCamps reserves the right to use any material submitted for entry into any specific competition for marketing purposes without crediting the associated parties.

9. AfriCamps is not responsible for any costs or expenses incurred to enter any specific competition and/or your acceptance and use of the prize.

10. AfriCamps reserves the right to refuse to award a prize in any situation where doing so will be unlawful.

11. In any situation where a competition yields multiple winners, AfriCamps reserves the right to extend the competition or subject winners to a tie-break until an outright winner is decided.

12. Prizes may be re-allotted if we are unable to contact the selected winner(s). We will notify prize winners using the contact details provided to us. For competitions on social media where a post constitutes an entry, we will contact the prize winner on that social media platform.

13. Prize winners must confirm acceptance of any prize. If a prize-winner fails to do so within 3 days of the initial notification, they will forfeit the prize. AfriCamps reserves the right to re-allot the prize to the runner-up, or to redraw a new winner under the same conditions.

14. Prizes are non-transferable in whole or in part. Prizes must be accepted as-is and may not be sold to a third party. Unless expressly stated otherwise, prizes may not be deferred, changed, or exchanged for cash or any cash alternative.

15. Prizes or vouchers do not apply over peak season. Peak season dates differ between camps and can be found on the specific camp page on our website.

16. In any situation where a prize becomes unavailable for reasons out of our control, AfriCamps reserves the right to select an alternative prize of equivalent type and value.

17. Where a prize winner does not hold a valid South African passport or has to travel to South Africa to use the prize, the winner(s) must have a valid passport, required visas, and any other relevant or required documentation.

18. Any competition offered on africamps.com or AfriCamps’ social media platforms is entered at your discretion and own risk. AfriCamps, our partners, shareholders, employees, and directors will not be liable for any loss, damage, costs, or injury of whatever nature, incurred as a result of your participation in a competition. The winner and those who benefit from the prize, are jointly and severally responsible for all loss and/or damage that arises, for AfriCamps, the camp in question, and/or any third party as a direct or an indirect consequence of their acceptance of a prize.

19. Please note that normal terms and conditions apply and that you may be required to book a certain minimum number of nights depending on the location and season.
